Join us for this outdoor experience if you are interested inphotography and want to learn more about lighting and composition, while enjoying nature around you.This event is part of our Mayor’s Book Club programming which centers around the theme or exploring our place in the natural world. Be prepared by bringing your smartphone or camera and wearing your walking shoes. This 1.5 hour workshop will include: Intros and overview of basic photography techniques (30 min). Examples in nature, Q&A, and prep for outside. Outdoor field experience (60 min). Participants are introduced to various native vegetation (site dependent) and encouraged to practice using different compositions while walking or touring an area with iPhones, cameras, or iPads.
