About the Event The major portion of this course uses the Internet to complete the mandatory homework. The online portion of this course is $34.95 and is available at Students must show the certificate of completion for the online course to attend the classroom session. For further information read “Requirements” below. Hunter education cards will be awarded to students upon successful completion of the course, which includes attending the class session and passing a written test and live fire. Rifles and ammunition for the live fire will be provided. No personal firearms are allowed. Though there is no age limit, we recommend that students be at least 10 years old to attend this class. All course materials are written at a 5th grade reading level. If you find that you are not able to come to a class you’ve registered for, please CANCEL YOUR REGISTRATION, or contact the Hunter Education office at 303-291-7250 to have your registration cancelled. These classes often have waiting lists, and we will be able to fill your seat. NOTE: A Test-Out option is available to resident and nonresident Military Personnel or individuals age 50+. The test is a one-time, 30 minute timed test, only available online and must be completed in one internet session with a passing grade of 90% or higher.
